Blauvelt is a hamlet located in the town of Orangetown in Rockland County, New York. It is a suburban community located about 25 miles from New York City. Blauvelt is located along Route 303, one of the main roads in Rockland County with many notable businesses. The zip code of Blauvelt is 10913.

According to the United States Census Bureau, as of 2000 Blauvelt has a population of more than 5,000 residents. The hamlet has a total land area of 4.6 square miles with 0.1 square miles of water. The hamlet is located at an elevation of over 200 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Blauvelt are 88.42% White, 1.56% African American, 0.02% Native American, 7.34% Asian, 1.44% from other races, and 1.23% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race are 5.93% of the population.

Blauvelt is home to Blauvelt State Park, which separates the hamlet from the Hudson River. The hamlet is also home to parts of Tackamack State Park and Clausland Mountain County Park. The scenic mountains of all three parks overlook Blauvelt. The hamlet is also home to South Orangetown Middle School, which serves grades 6-8.

Blauvelt is home to Bradley Corporate Park, one of the largest business areas in the county that has huge warehouses and storage spaces and multiple office buildings.
